Los Nietos Middle School STEAM Academy is proud to host a Girls Who Code Club! We are so excited to start this club for the second year. Girls Who Code is a national club for girls in 3rd - 12th grades. There are currently over 90,000 members nationwide. The mission of every Girls Who Code Club is to close the gender gap in technology. We will be working on a project decided on by our group to help our girls deepen their computer science skills and gain confidence in the field of technology.
We will be meeting 15 times this year. Every meeting will be in Room 25 on a Friday from 2:30 - 3:45 p.m. Mrs. Chavez, Coding and 8th grade Math Teacher, and Cristina Estrada, a local IT technician, will be running the club. Please contact desiree Chavez with any questions. [email protected]
