Our amazing MESA students competed Saturday at the UC Irvine MESA Day. They calculated their way out of the Math Escape Room, tested out their Popsicle stick bridges, launched gliders, created Rube Goldberg style MESA machines, engineered prosthetic arms, and using Arduino robotic programing created solutions for human problems. We had winners in the following events: Bridge - Creativity and Design 2nd place (Angel Gonzalez & Mario Machado) Arduino Based Solutions for Humans 3rd Place OVERALL (Brooklyn Gomez, Nathan Ariza Savannah Marin, & Rihanna Gonzalez) Arduino Based Solutions for Humans Technical Presentation and Poster Symposium 3rd Place (Brooklyn Gomez, Nathan Ariza Savannah Marin, & Rihanna Gonzalez) A huge THANKS to Coaches Ms. Sanchez and Ms. Ramirez for mentoring!!
