Welcome to the 2011-12 school year. We are anxious to see students return to school rested and ready to embrace the challenges and successes of a new year. Be assured that the faculty and staff at Los Nietos Middle School are here to assist in any way to help all students grow in academics and social development. BACK TO SCHOOL ORIENTATION
• Incoming 7th and new 8th grade students and their parents/guardians are invited to attend orientation on Thursday, August 25th from 9:00-10:30 a.m.
• Returning 8th grade students are welcome to come to school to ask any questions they may have about the upcoming year or to purchase LNMS gear by inquiring in the office anytime between August 22nd – 26th from 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. **Schedules will not be available until the first day of school.
CLASSES BEGIN IN AUGUST!
School begins Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. We ask that your child arrive no later than 7:40 a.m. so that he/she may find his/her name on the display outside of the cafeteria that lists the student’s name and room number of where to report to at 8:00 a.m. Schedules will be issued at the class that your child reports to at 8:00 a.m. Breakfast will begin at 7:20 a.m. and students should have plenty of time to greet friends, eat, and locate their first class. Representatives from ASB Student Leadership will be around to assist students in finding their way around campus.
Also, the first three days of school, Wednesday, August 31st, Thursday, September 1st and Friday, September 2nd, will be minimum days. School will be dismissed at 1:00 p.m. and all students will need to leave the campus at that time. Keep in mind that the school will be closed on September 5th in observance of Labor Day.
Once again, we are excited about the new school year and our programs to facilitate growth. We are a California Distinguished School in the making and are glad that your child is a part of our supportive learning community for continuous growth.
