New Faces at LNMS

The cafeteria was packed with eager 7th graders who learned about important topics for success in middle school. Mrs. Cardenas, the principal, welcomed students and their families and shared details about academic and extra-curricular programs, as well as the school's high expectations for behavior, attendance, and achievement.

Programs and resources were shared by key representatives including:

*Patricia Baldelomar - Site Coordinator (Think Together)
Information about the free after school program offered at Los Nietos Middle School is available by calling (562) 695-0637. The program includes homework club, enrichment activities, small and whole group competitions, and fun, fun, fun!

*Cesiley Watson - Therapist (Pacific Clinics)
Information about confidential individual and family counseling services are available by calling (562) 695-0637. Ms. Watson's home site is Los Nietos Middle School, where she forms an integral part of the team that supports the success of students.

*Cynthia Tortarolo - Counselor (Los Nietos Middle School)
If you have concerns about your child or ideas for how to best support you child in his/her transition to the middle school, please contact our school's Counselor at (562) 695-0637.

*Our representative from Stone Soup Child Care Programs provided information about Teen Soup, an after school program available this fall at the middle school.
