Dr. Eric Neilson, from Presbyterian Hospital, was the guest speaker at the December Coffee with the Principal. He shared information about the importance and benefits of regular exercise. His training included how exercise impacts one’s brain, muscles, lungs, bones, thyroid, heart, joints, arteries, and may other areas of the body. To their surprise, guests were invited outside to take a brief walk. His point was to demonstrate that taking the first step in a regular exercise routine is the most challenging aspect. Once an individual is out walking, it serves as a stress reliever and impacts one’s overall health in a positive manner.
