Students assembled to learn more about the topic of Family Life from Dr. Boon, a resident doctor from Presbyterian Hospital. Students were able to ask questions about their changing bodies, as well as the physical and mental changes that accompany puberty. Dr. Boon reminded students that everyone is unique, their bodies change at different rates, and it is okay to be different. He also shared that it was important to have open communication with a trusted adult and one’s doctor to learn more about in-depth personal questions related to one’s body.
