Los Nietos Middle School Beginning and Advanced Band, under the direction of Carey Furnish, performed in front of a packed house at the Pioneeer High School Area-Wide Spring Concert on Thursday May 8th. The two band classes sounded amazing together after holding just 2 combined practices. The LNMS band played Colossus, the Jester Dance and a new tune, Majestica. It was a special honor for our students to play in front of the Mayor of Santa Fe Springs, Mrs. Laurie Rios, as well as the President of the Los Nietos School Board, Mr. Nick Aquino. Thanks to all the parents, family, students, and friends who came out and supported our fabulous band program. A big thank you to the City of Santa Fe springs Heritage Arts Committee for generously donating funds for the LNMS Band to purchase the new sheet music that was performed at the concert and will also be used at LNMS Promotion.
