Last Friday, our Cyber Patriot team, along with their coach, Mrs. Ramirez, and technical mentor, Mr. Ramirez, took on the State-Wide Cyber Patriot Challenge.
The Cyber Patriot Challenge was created by the Air Force Association (AFA), to inspire K-12 students towards careers in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). During the challenge, students were given a set of virtual images that represent operating systems. They were tasked with finding cybersecurity vulnerabilities within the images and hardening the system while maintaining critical services over a six-hour period.
