A group of truly dedicated students and their teacher coaches, Mrs. Michelle Sanchez and Mrs. Jacqueline Ramirez, attend the Mathematics Engineering Science Academy (MESA) competition on Saturday, April 2, 2011, after placing at the preliminary competitions.
A group of approximately 35 seventh grade students attended the Catalina Island Marine Institute from March 28th - 30th this spring. Along with their chaperones, Ms. Carlee Anne Moyer, Ms. Wolf and Mr. Valdes, they experienced unforgettable activities that included kayaking, night snorkeling and marine learning labs just to mention a few. What fun!
Students at Los Nietos benefitted greatly from the life lessons that were shared through the TEEN TRUTH LIVE campaign.
LNMS hosted an informational night to share test-taking strategies with parents on how to prepare students for success on the 2011 STAR test. Continuing to prepare students to demonstrate one year or more growth on the STAR is the school's objective as it produces literate, critical thinkers who can appropriately problem solve.
All Braves families are invited to attend our annual STAR Testing informational night to learn key strategies to propel students to higher levels of achievement on the 2011 STAR Test. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the PTC will host a nacho fundraiser to support school programs. The meeting will start in the auditorium at 6:00 p.m. and then families will be dismissed to various break out sessions. We hope to see great support for the schoolwide event.
